What is Expungement in Oklahoma
Expungement is the legal process of sealing a “criminal record” of conviction or an “arrest record.” There are two general types of expungement under Oklahoma law, but there are at least 14 different categories. The partial expungement seals the court file and removes only the guilty plea (Section 991). The full expungement (Section 18) removes all evidence of the arrest but also seals the court file.
